Bachelor’s program of Vietnamese language and culture

Bachelor’s program of Vietnamese language and culture - This course is made for foreigners who have graduated from high school and have a desire to study and discover Vietnamese language and culture. The student from China, Poland are studying this program.

I. Introduction

Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) has a 123-year history (1898-2021) of building, growing, and developing, being a public university providing high quality educational, scientific and technological services, creating a convenient learning environment for everyone. HaUI has trained hundreds of thousands of masters, engineers, and bachelors to meet the requirement of the labor market, and is highly appreciated by society.

Every year, HaUI provides thousands of scholarships to encourage learning and support disadvantaged students with the amount of 9 to 10 billion VND and send students who receive scholarships to study abroad. More than 4,000 students have been sent to study, intern, and work in Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and China.

HaUI is landed in an area of 47.33 ha, including 369 theoretical rooms, 55 computer rooms, 50 foreign language classrooms, 17 study centers/library rooms, 25 laboratories, 151 practical laboratories, 790 dorm rooms, 01 training complex 01 tennis court, and 01 stadium.

In 2021, HaUI provides 39 Bachelor courses, 11 Master courses and 03 PhD courses for students who want to pursue higher education. International students are highly welcome to study in HaUI.

II. Regular course for International students

International students are able to apply to any course of those courses above. The detail of requirements are as below:

2.1. Documents

i) Application Form

ii) Notarized translation of high school degrees (Bachelor degree for Master course and Master degree for PhD course)

iii) Notarized translation of high school transcript (Bachelor transcript for Master course and Master transcript for PhD course)

iv) Passport copy.

v) Health check paper(s)

vi) 4 (four) passport-sized photos

vii) B2 Vietnamese certificate

2.2. Language of instruction: Vietnamese

2.3. Tuition fee

The tuition fee will be announced before the semester 01 of each year. Students can get the scholarship up to 100% of the tuition fee.

2.4. Student visa

International students need to acquire a student visa (visa DH) sponsored and applied by Hanoi University of Industry before entering Vietnam.

The visa procedure takes from 1 to 3 months since the student's tuition fee transferrence is confirmed as the following steps:

i) HaUI issues a Letter of Acceptance, at which information about the course major, academic year, and tuition fees are clearly stated;

ii) The student pays for the fees by either transference or cash;

iii) HaUI applies visa DH for the student:

Visa type: Single;

Visa duration: One year

iv) The Center for International Cooperation emails the student visa details;

The student gets visa DH at the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in the country as registered in the Application Form

2.5. Quota

The quota for international students for the academic year 2021-2022 is 20.

III. Bachelor’s program of Vietnamese language and culture

This course is made for foreigners who have graduated from high school and have a desire to study and discover Vietnamese language and culture. The student from China, Poland are studying this program. The detail of this course is as below:

3.1. Duration, time and tuition fee

- Course’s code: 7220101

- Duration: 04 years

- Class start date: September of 2021

- Tuition fee: VND 50,000,000/01 academic year

Students can get partial scholarships up to 30% of tuition fee

Including training costs, study materials, visa application preparation. Other costs like living allowance, accommodation, meals,… will be bear by the student.

3.2. Document

3.3. Language of instruction: Vietnamese

Any questions about the lecture in the class can be answered by Japanese, Chinese, Korean after class.

3.4. Language requirement

Any student who possesses a Vietnamese Certificate (B2 or above in Vietnam’s standard) is allowed to take the major courses as a second-year student (3 year course), otherwise, she/he must take the Vietnamese course in the Center for International Cooperation - Hanoi University of Industry from the first year (4 year course).

3.5. Student visa

The quota for the Bachelor program of Vietnamese language and culture for the academic year 2021-2022 is 20.

3.7. Curriculum content

The total amount of knowledge for the entire course is 128 credits (excluding physical education modules).
